Today there is a wonderful new release by Romajo Scraps

Where did January go and a CT Freebie....

It completely baffles my mind..."Where did January Go?"  The month just flew by.  I took time this month to reorganize a few things, especially in my scrapping world.  I've gotten myself back into a place where I'm really enjoying myself. 

I closed up shop over at Scrapable.  It is a great store with an amazing Boss Lady (a.k.a Bev) and some wonderful designer's and CT.  But don't fret.  I'm working on getting my new store Arts & Ains Designs Shop up and running.  Everything is there.  All my old products, just in need of new packaging.  It shouldn't be to much longer.  Thanks so much for your patience.  (If you need anything before then, let me know).  

But this month I got to find my joy in Scrapping again.  I got to take part in the Mousescrapper's Speed Scrap Marathon.  I hosted my first Speed Scrap.  It was so much fun.  It gave me the opportunity to create some layouts.

But I didn't stop scrapping there.  I made this layout for the January Kit challenge.  "ILuvCrush" crush hosted the challenge.  And Keystone Scraps provided the wonderful kit.  (And add-on to her kit In the Hollow).

A New Year and a New Release by Romajo

I know this is a bit late in coming, but Happy New Year.  So sorry that I haven't been around much.  A lot has gone on in my little life and some big changes are being made.  I wanted to let you know what the New Year is bringing for Arts and Ains Designs and my fans.

First- I have decided to close my store at Scrapable. I can not begin to thank Bev (a.k.a Boss Lady) for all the training and support she and the other designers have given me.  They are a wonderful group of creative women that it has been such a pleasure to know and work with.  But being a designer in a store is not just making kits.  It's taking part in collabs, challenges, and making kits on a schedule rather than when creativity strikes.  As a single, homeschooling mom of 3, I was just stretching myself to thin. I felt I was letting down my CT and the creative team at Scrapable.  As well as letting down my family.  So after much thought and prayer, I made the decision to close the shop on January 31st.

But don't panic, because that leads me to my Second I will be opening my own blog/web store.  It's all still in the works right now.  As soon as I have concrete information, I'll pass it along.  Selling my items this way will allow me more creative freedom, a work time line that better fits the life of me and my children.  I've already got a new kit "Are We There Yet" in the works and hope to have that for you at the beginning of next month.  

Another area that was really affected was my ability to create layouts.  I absolutely love doing that, and had pretty much stopped.  Now I can create kits to scrap the pictures I need to scrap (and believe me there are A LOT of those).  I'll also be able to be a better CT member for Romajo.  Who I'm happy to say has created another great kit Flora's Secret.  It's a huge kit with a beautiful color scheme.

News and a couple of Freebies too

Hoping that everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving.  My children and I had a wonderful holiday and spent the day recuperating.  NO Black Friday shopping for us. (But you might want to sign up for my newsletter if you haven't yet.  Cyber Monday is coming and there will be a special coupon exclusive for my subscribers).  And how did I rest up, well I worked on my upcoming release.....Worth a Thousand Words.

This week (November 28th-Dececember 4th) I am hosting the Weekly Challenge at Mousescrappers.com.  I'm so excited.  The forums at Mousescrappers are my favorite place to be.  I mean scrapbooking and Disney together....Who could ask for more?  I hope you'll stop by and join me.  I created a great mini kit for your participation prize and what I hope is a fun challenge to help you step outside your normal design box.  I hope to see you there.  And make sure to stop by on Friday.  I'll have some great Freebies to go along with the release of Worth a Thousand Words.
